There really is no place like Caversham Prep! Welcome to our school.
We are a small, local school with big ambitions for our pupils. One of only a small number of family run, independent schools in the country, we place a strong emphasis on the support of our close-knit community to foster the growth and development of each and every child at our school.
We combine traditional teaching methods to establish firm foundations for learning with a digital programme to prepare our children for the future. Our children are engendered with a strong moral compass and an “I Can” ethos, believing that with support, they can, and do achieve.
We teach our youngest children to read in the early days after joining us, because once a child can read, they can write, using their phonic knowledge; and if they can read and write, they can access the curriculum.
We prepare our pupils for the Senior Schools of their choice and they leave as confident, successful learners and responsible global citizens, who are kind and happy. Taken from a letter to us from an Independent Senior School:
